Hermes in me...

Hermes “The Messenger of the Gods”

Hermes was the son of Zeus and Maia, the daughter of Atlas. He was Zeus' winged messenger, being the fastest of the gods. He was the god of thieves and commerce as well as the guide for the dead when they first sought the house of the dead. He invented the lyre, the pipes, the musical scale, astronomy , weights and measures, boxing, gymnastics, and the care of olive trees.

I chose Hermes not because I experienced portraying his character but because of the distinctiveness he possesses. Hermes’ character is not really strong compare to other Gods and Goddesses. I could see the goodness in his character. I could see myself to him when it comes to braveness, modesty, hospitality, and all those. Everytime I see him, I would always smile and tell myself that “that’s me”.

Hermes is known for his swiftness. He sends messages from Gods. In relation to myself, I make it a point that I finish a certain thing instantly. I’m a person who always does a thing hastily. I don’t give rooms for sluggishness. I work with a full effort and deep thinking.
